UCF Network Upgrade

Project Summary

For my Technical Writing class at the University of Central Florida, I was tasked with
coming up and creating a proposal for a technical project of our choosing. I decided to
Come up with a full proposal and budget summary of a network upgrade for the university.

By utilizing my knowledge from walking around campus and experiencing the network speeds
firsthand, I identified key areas for improvement in the network infrastructure. Which then
helped me draw up a full two year proposal for senior university administration.
This resulted in an end-to-end project summary that:

• Identified key areas of campus for upgrade
• Budgeted each building, with potential cost and timeline estimates
• Isolated "in need" areas for immediate attention
• Produced a timeline for implementation
